A man's remains have been found at an Aberystwyth hotel almost two months after a massive fire gutted the building.
A huge blaze ripped through the Ty Belgrave House on Marine Terrace in the early hours of July 25.
Nine adults and three children were rescued from the hotel, but a Lithuanian man believed to have been staying at the hotel remained missing.
A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “Police can confirm that the remains of a male have been recovered during the search at Belgrave House Hotel, Aberystwyth.
"The remains have not yet been identified.
"The family of the missing Lithuanian man have been informed of this development.
"H.M.Coroner has been updated and a Home Office post mortem has been arranged The search of the scene continues.
"Police are in consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service over this development.“
Damion Harris, 30, of Llanbadarn, Aberystwyth, was charged with arson with intent to endanger life, in connection with the fire.
