One person was airlifted to Royal Stoke University Hospital with serious injuries.
The A458 between Mallwyd and Llangadfan is now open following a serious crash in the early hours of Friday morning.
The crash, involving a van, took place at around 5.10am near The Brigands Inn.
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said one person was airlifted to Royal Stoke University Hospital.

Emergency services were at the scene of the incident.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service crews used hydraulic cutting equipment to free the person after being trapped in the vehicle.
The A458 between Mallwyd and Llangadfan is open in both directions.
