LOCAL stores have pulled together to donate over £800 to Wrexham Foodbank.
McColl's stores on Holt Road, Dean Road and Acton raised a total of £806.22 for the foodbank.
This comes shortly after an urgent plea was made by foodbank volunteers to find them new home and temporary accommodation was ultimately secured.
John Jones, Store Manager at McColl's presented the cheque to Sally Ellinson of Wrexham Foodbank.
Mr Jones said: "When we were supplied by Nisa and bought a Heritage product, 5% would go into a pot to be used to help the community.
"Wrexham Foodbank were just really grateful and it will come in handy for them.
"I have offered my support to them for any future events they do."
