ANOTHER Clun Valley Jazz night is to be held at Bishops Castle Town Hall on Saturday, September 8, with Julian Argüelles playing European jazz at its finest, blending Spanish roots, Nordic space and sound with one of the brightest and most talented British bands around.

It is part of a tour by saxophonist Julian Argüelles and his Tetra quartet celebrating the release of the new second Tetra band album 'Tonadas'.

Described as one of Europe’s most inventive saxophone players Argüelles has put together acclaimed small bands for some 30 years and currently leads Ivo Neame on piano, Sam Lasserson on bass and James Maddren on drums, acclaimed for their improvisation and composition and for being inspiring and adventurous.

Much of it has been referred to as a rich mix and happy music you can even whistle along or dance too.
