PRIZES have been presented to the winners of the Rhosddu in Bloom 2018 competition in Wrexham.

Cllr Madge Lynch, who chairs Rhosddu Community Council, and council clerk Nigel Hodges handed over the awards at the community centre in Prices Lane.

Winners were:

Best single hanging basket, planter or tub

Joint first prize went to Sara Baines for 2 Castle Close and Douglas Nichol for 39 Buckingham Road

Joint third prize went to Stuart Daulby for 6 Princes Close and Mrs J Vow for 28 Buckingham Road.

Most attractive display of hanging baskets, planters and tubs

Joint first prize: Roman Fudala for 111 Crispin Lane and Richard Edwards for 45 Gerald Street and Eifion Roberts for 31 Weston Drive.

Most attractive small garden

First prize: Tony Andrews for 19 Ffordd Mon.

Second prize: Denise Davies-Roach for 2 Princes Close.

Third prize: residents of Springfield sheltered housing.

Most attractive garden

First prize: Les Evans for 2 Osborne Road.

Second prize: Terence Chesworth for 41 Sandringham Road.

Third prize: Joy Morgan for Balmoral Road.
