Health chiefs in Powys are urging people to have their say on proposals affecting hospital services in Shropshire before the NHS Future Fit consultation ends on September 11.

The final drop-in event in Powys is taking place in the Royal Oak Hotel in Welshpool from 4pm to 7pm on Thursday, August 30.

Clinicians and colleagues from The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust and Powys Teaching Health Board will be on hand to answer questions and hear your views.

Adrian Osborne from Powys Teaching Health Board said: "For many people living in north Powys their main acute hospital services are provided in Shrewsbury and Telford. The NHS Future Fit consultation is proposing changes to these hospital services, so it is vital that Powys residents have their say.

"The consultation ends on September 11, extended by a week from its original closing date of September 4, so there are still several days left to share your views. "
