A BANGOR Samba drum music group will be banging the drum of celebration.

Batala Bangor will be marking its 15-year anniversary with a fun-filled weekend taking place from September 7-9.

The fun starts on Friday, September 7, with an evening party at Caban, in Brynrefail, where members of other UK Batala bands will join the 30 drummers from Batala Bangor for a meal and live music from the Cowbois Celtaidd.

Then, on Saturday, September 8, Batala Bangor will be performing at the iconic Festival No.6, in Portmeirion, on Saturday, September 8.

Over the weekend, there will be lots of surprises in store for band members who are enjoying the success of Batala Bangor over the past 15 years.
