Llanidloes High School has once again achieved "outstanding" GCSE results, says headteacher Daniel Owen.

100 per cent of students passed 13 subject such as English literature, Geography and Business Studies.

Mr Owen praised staff, students, parents and school governors for making a "bumper set" of GCSE and A-level results possible this summer.

Rhian Jones and Kate Horn were delighted with their results.

"I would like to extend my warm congratulations to every student on their results and for reaping the rewards of their hard work," he said.

“Following our excellent A-Level results last week, which we believe will place us in The Times top ten in Wales for a second successive year, it is now our GCSE students who are celebrating."We are rejoicing with our students after having had superb success with A-levels where every single student got into their first choice university. We are absolutely over the moon as a school.

"We look forward to welcoming many of these exceptional students back into Sixth Form where we will continue to ensure they excel academically.

"Once again, I would like to thank every member of staff for their professionalism, hard work and high standard of teaching and pastoral care that have made these results possible.”
