The acting headteacher at Builth Wells High School says the school is "thrilled" after 95% of students achieved an A*- C grade at A -level and 100% passed vocational qualifications.

A total of 83% of students gained the equivalent of two or more grades at A* - C, with 27% of the results were graded as an A* or an A.

Additionally, 30% of Welsh Baccalaureate grades were at A*/A.

Acting Headteacher Catrin Taylor paid tribute to the dedication of staff and the talent and determination of her students.

"We are thrilled with the results this year! This success reflects the talent and determination of our students," she said.

"I would like to congratulate them and wish them the very best as they move on to university or into employment.

"The dedication of their teachers and the support received from their families in helping the pupils to achieve these excellent results must be commended."
