Organisers of the Anglesey County Show say the first day has gone "extremely well."
Last year's president Emyr Hughes, who is also a deputy director and this year's chief ground steward, said they were "delighted."
The weather held out and it is thought roughly about 25-30,000 people come through the doors, comparable with last year.
Mr Hughes has been involved with the show for about 50 years.
He is married to Glynwen and lives at Gwalchmai, close to the show ground.
He said: "We are extremely happy with the way the first day has gone.

"We've had a lot of people, the weather was just right. It can have a big effect on the show. If it is too hot, people go to the beach, as we are between two beaches. If it rains at 3pm, people pack up and go home.
"But it's been just right this year and stayed dry for us.
"So far it's been a great show."
