Visitors will get the chance to peek behind the curtain at a working observatory in Knighton at an event this weekend.
On Saturday, August 11 the Spaceguard Centre in Knighton will be hosting the Marches Astronomy Group Open Day, allowing visitors the chance to see what the centre does and how.
The Spaceguard Centre is a working observatory, and the main source of information about 'near Earth' objects in the UK.
Organisers say entry is free and the event runs from 2pm to 5pm.
The event means there are no scheduled tours taking place on the day.
