Police have appealed for information after damage was caused to allotments in Llanfyllin earlier this week.

Windows were smashed in greenhouses on the site, which is near Llanfyllin High School, and vegetables were uprooted and strewn across nearby playground areas.

It is believed the incident took place between 4pm and 8pm on Monday, August 6.

A group of local children and town councillors led a clean-up of the site shortly afterwards.

A statement from Llanfyllin police said: "Dyfed Powys Police are appealing for witnesses to damage caused to the allotments near Llanfyllin High School overnight on the 6th August 2018. Anyone with information should contact PC 1177 Chiffi, on 101".
