Blazing sunshine greeted the annual Welshpool Town Carnival as it made it's way through the town yesterday, Sunday August 6.
A noisy parade led by Mayor Cllr Stephen Kaye and Mace Bearer Cllr Jane Ellis with percussion provided by the Samba-a-go-go band saw a number of floats and parade walkers join the procession as it made it's way through town, leaving from Berriew Street before heading up Broad Street and back down Brook Street before finishing at Maesydre where the afternoon's festivities continued.
After the crowing of carnival queen Paige Challinor, Titan the Robot wowed the crowds with a fun display while animal man Simon Airey produced a range of creepy crawlies to delight and dismay, alongside a host of other entertainment on the field.
Full report and pictures will appear in this week's County Times.
