Bosses at national pizza chain Dominos have refused to comment on speculation linking them with a new store opening in Llandrindod Wells.
Rumours circulating on social media suggested that the former Pritchard and Sons garage, on the corner of Temple Street and Station Crescent, had been acquired by the store after the exterior was given a coat of Domino’s style blue.
At present, the only chain-store food outlet in the town belongs to Greggs, on Station Crescent.
Currently the chain has only one store in Mid Wales, in Aberystwyth, with the nearest other locations to Llandrindod being Hereford or Abergavenny.
Dominos were contacted by the County Times last week, but a spokesperson for the group said it was “unable to comment at this time”.
