A previously extinguished gorse blaze reignited in Pentre Halkyn.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service received a call just before 11.30am today reporting a blaze near Pen y Baf Quarry in the village.
One crew from Deeside attended the scene and used four beaters and a hose reel jet to tackle the blaze.
A spokesman for the fire and rescue service told the Leader the blaze involved about 1,000 square metres of gorse and bracken.
Firefighters concluded the cause had been re-ignition following a previous incident.
