FIREFIGHTERS were called out after an unattended pan overheated.

Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service Received a call at 12.20pm today reporting a domestic building blaze at an address in Nicholas Street Mews, Chester.

Firefighters from Powey Lane and Crewe attended the scene to find that an unattended pan had overheated and caused a smoke alarm to activate.

The crews removed the pan from the property and used a large fan to clear the smoke.
