PUPILS at Montgomery Church in Wales School have been finding out what it's like to have a disability.

They took part in a basketball session with leading disability sporting coach, Al Caron.

Montgomery head teacher, Anna Griggs explained: It's omportant that pupils get the opportunity to find out about diversity and disability and even experience it so that they can understand.

"We received funding from the Tan-y-Mur fund, so wer were able to bring Al Caron her for the day, and he brought all the wheelchair equipment with him.

"Pupils throughout the school, all ages, spent the day learning, and using the wheelchairs.

"He taught the pupils the skills needed to play disabled basketball,

"At the end there was a basketball match using the wheelchairs which are very light and manouverable.

"It's always good to learn through experiences not just from books."
