FIREFIGHTERS tackled a pair of grass blazes in Wrexham.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service received a call just before 10.30pm last night reporting 30 square metres of grass and scrubland ablaze near the town's new fire station.
One fire crew attended the scene and used a hose reel jet and a thermal imaging camera to tackle the blaze. The cause was unknown.
The fire and rescue service then received reports of a grass fire in Meadow Lea, Wrexham, shortly before 11pm.
One crew was sent to the scene and used a hose reel jet to extinguish the blaze.
The cause of the second incident, which involved an area of 15 square metres, was also unknown.
