Two men threatened a staff member and stole money, alcohol and cigarettes at a petrol garage in Newtown in the early hours of Friday morning.
Dyfed-Powys Police are investigating the robbery which took place at Snax 24 on Pool Road at around 2am.
Both men, described as white and wearing scarves to cover their faces, made off by foot.

A driver visiting the garage phoned the police at 2.14am and officers were at the scene within seven minutes, by which time the men had left.
“This was a very worrying incident for the staff member who was working at the time,” said Temporary DI Gareth Grant.
“The victim was understandably shaken and is being supported by officers.
“The incident involved two men – both were white, and both were wearing scarves to cover their mouths.
“We would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time, who might have seen two men making off from the garage on foot, or anyone driving along Pool Road around this time.”
A Dyfed-Powys Police spokesperson said: “Anyone who can help with the investigation is asked to contact Newtown JIU by calling 101 and quoting reference number 17 of June 15.”
