WELSHPOOL will star in a programme on S4C showcasing what the area has to offer.

The S4C series ‘Dal Ati: Codi Pac’ takes us on a trip with presenter Geraint Hardy around some of Wales's most beautiful areas .

This Sunday, June 17, Geraint will visit the beautiful area around Welshpool and discover what the town has to offer such as The Bay Tree Tea Rooms which has been ‘voted in the top 10 coffee houses in Wales’.

It will be an opportunity to visit the unique Andrew Logan Museum of Sculpture in Berriew, which is something that people may not expect to see when they visit Mid Wales.

Geraint will take a tour around Glansevern Hall's colourful gardens, then he’ll pop over to Montgomery for a feast at the Michelin-starred restaurant, The Checkers.

From museums and trips on one of Wales's most beautiful canals to a helicopter tour across the town, Welshpool has not let down Geraint at all.

"For a lovely perspective ... I've always liked castles since I was a boy, but to see Powis Castle, down there from this height is incredible," said Geraint from the helicopter.

To see more of Geraint's journey around Welshpool, remember to watch S4C on Sunday morning at 10am, also with English subtitles.
