Do you have what it takes to win the Junior Eurovision Song Contest?

The search is on to find Wales' first ever representative to star in the song contest watched by millions.

This Sunday, June 17, auditions will take place at Aberystwyth Arts Centre where singers and aspiring entertainers can turn up to an open audition.

Auditions start from 10am on Sunday morning and it is open to anyone aged nine to 14-years-old.

Singers are asked to prepare one song to show off their talent and to bring their own backing track or sheet music for the accompanist.

They will be asked to perform an Acapella piece too.

They can be a solo act or as part of a group of up to six voices - and you don’t have to be a fluent Welsh speaker to take part.

In September, a three-part series on S4C will follow the search for a star.

The singers who are lucky enough to be chosen to take part in the S4C series 'Chwilio am Sêr' will face various challenges given by three mentors and West End stars, Tara Bethan, Connie Fisher and Stifyn Parri.

The series culminates in a live final, where the viewers can choose their favourite to represent Wales at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Minsk, Belarus – which will be broadcast live on S4C on November 25.

Presenter, Trystan Ellis-Morris, fronts the S4C search and wants to find the best of the best Wales has to offer.

Trystan said: "16 countries competed in the Junior Eurovision last year and even more have registered to compete this year. We will therefore be searching far and wide for the best talent out there to represent Wales this year.

"We want to find the cream of the crop that Wales has to offer.
