Llandrindod Wells Eisteddfod Committee has enlisted some junior members to help with this year’s annual eisteddfod event on Saturday, October 13.
Two representatives from primary schools in Cefnllys, Trefonnen, Dolau, Crossgates and Rhayader have been asked to participate and represent their school on the junior committee - with organisers hoping they can bring “lots of new ideas” to the event.
The young delegates are being asked to choose the topics for the off stage artwork and story writing competitions, and to suggest any alterations and improvements that they would like to see in the October eisteddfod.
“The Llandrindod Children’s Eisteddfod is a showcase for young talent,” said a spokesperson.
“Children will compete in a variety of spoken, sung and musical events on the stage.
“The eisteddfod welcomes Welsh and English entries to its competitions. We hope to see you at this year’s eisteddfod.”
