Thieves have stolen a 'substantial amount' of cash from a restaurant in Abersoch.

The offenders entered the Zinc Bar and Grill on Lon Pen Cei in the early hours of Monday, May 28, and took cash from the safe.

Investigating Officer PC Elfyn Hughes at Pwllheli Police Station said: "Staff at the Zinc Bar and Grill came into work to discover they’d been the victims of a break-in overnight where a substantial amount of cash had been stolen from the safe.

"As a result of enquiries made we now believe the premises were broken into just before 1am on Monday 28th May and we are appealing to anyone who has any information or witnessed any suspicious behaviour or activity at the time to contact Police.

"It is worth reminding members of the public to be vigilant at all times and to contact the Police immediately if you see any suspicious behaviour.”
