POLICE are investigating the theft of a number of powertools from Kirkhamsfield Council depot on Poole Road, Newtown.
The burglary took place sometime between midnight on Wednesday, May 30 and 1am.
PC Aimee Dix said: “We are investigating a burglary where a number of high value tools have been taken.
"The items have council reference numbers etched into them, so there is a possibilities the tools may be damaged in an attempt to conceal them."
