A PRESTEIGNE woman celebrated her 100th birthday on Wednesday, May 24.
Joan Ray, who moved to Presteigne with her husband Dennis in 1966 from Birmingham, worked for the Bleddfa Trust for many years.
Her two sons, Bernard and Alan, organised a tea party to celebrate Joan’s special birthday.
Birthday visitors wishing her a happy day included local Powys County Councillor Beverley Baynham who is also vice chair of Powys County Council.
Cllr. Baynham presented Mrs Ray with a card and a bouquet of flowers to celebrate the special occasion at the Prestemede Care Home.
