WILL Doris Morris ever secure her inheritance once the UK waves bye-bye to the European Union?

Glantwymym near Machynlleth is one of the stops for a nationwide tour by Theatre Bara Caws of their new production which is satirical comedy based on the farming community in a Post-Brexit world.

And with just a few days before the production is staged in Powys, organisers say that the tickets for, “Brêcshit” are selling like “hotcakes”.

Multi award-winning Cwmni Theatr Bara Caws first pioneered a Welsh Language Club Show back in the 1980s.

Satirical, irreverent and always pushing the boundaries, they’ve been a great draw ever since.

Brêcshit, is their first show of the year. Their latest offering has been written by the cast and director and tours Wales for a month stopping at Glantwymyn on May 22.

Director John Glyn Owen worked with cast, of Iwan Charles, Llyr Evans, Gwenno Elis Hodgkins and Manon Elis.

The four actors will be playing several characters.

Described as a “hilarious evening in the company of a host of colourful characters”, the story of ‘Brêcshit’ centres on Doris Morris.

Doris Morris’s family have been farming Bryn-Cwd-yr-Arian for generations, but following the Brexit referendum, she has to find alternative means of making ends meet.

By now she’s running a therapy clinic which is also a haven for people with all sorts of problems.

Will this new business venture keep the wolf from the door?

Will Doris succeed in securing her inheritance?

And how healthy is colonic irrigation if truth be told?

The tour has already started with the first show at Caernarfon Football Club on Tuesday night and it ends at Neuadd Buddug, Bala, on June 2.

n The show will be on at Neuadd Glantwymyn from 7.30pm on Tuesday, May 22. Tickets cost £8, for more details contact Menter Iaith Maldwyn on 01686 610010.
