GWEN Samuel struck twice as Radnor overcame Penarth IIIs 3-1 to seal promotion from division two of the South Wales Women’s League.
Hayley Price completed the scoring as the villagers sealed their return to the first division.
Club spokesperson Elin Wozencraft said: “I am thrilled we will be back fighting in division one as of next year.
“Every weekend seems to be a real challenge which shows the strength and ongoing development of hockey across South Wales.”
Radnor host Swansea University at Llandrindod Wells on Saturday knowing victory, coupled with defeat for league leaders Milford Haven, would ensure their promotion as second division champions.
“Hopefully we can get a few people down to the leisure centre and support the girls in the last game of the season,” said Wozencraft
