SWIMMERS who use The Flash Leisure Centre in Welshpool have been left on dry land, as the pool has been out of action for the last week.
Freedom Leisure who run the facility have had to contact everyone who had swimming lessons booked there over the last few days and apologise for the inconvenience.
It is expected that the swimming pool will re-open on Thursday afternoon.
One leisure centre user, said: "It would seem that someone took the plughole out one night and all the water drained away!
A spokeswoman for Freedom leisure, said: "Last week the water level of the swimming pool at The Flash Leisure Centre swimming pool was unfortunately significantly reduced. "We have been working hard to refill it, however as this must be undertaken in accordance with strict procedures, it cannot be done quickly.
"We aim to reopen the pool during the afternoon of Thursday, April 12.
"We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused by the pool closure and have contacted all customers whose swim lessons are affected.
"Please note all other centre facilities are open as normal."
