NATIONAL treasure and Radio Cymru favourite, Shan Cothi, will be performing at Newtown Male Voice Choir’s annual concert in May.

Classical singer and actress, Shan will be joined by internationally renowned tenor, Rhys Meirion and talented local farmer and tenor, Aled Wyn Davies.

The choir is calling the evening “Two T's and a Cothi,” and the trio will be accompanied by Annette Bryn Parri.

A spokesman for the choir said: “The choir, conducted by Sarah Astley-Davies and accompanied by Greg Jenkins, will be performing a number of popular songs, including some classics and some new material.

“They will be joined by Geraint Peate, who will be returning as compere for the concert.”

The concert takes place at the Baptist Church on May 13, starting at 7pm.
