Wrexham AFC manager Dean Keates is on the brink of joining League One side Walsall.
The Midlands club have been seeking a replacement to Jon Whitley, who was sacked earlier this week, and made Keates their number one target.
No announcement has yet been made from either club, but it is believed Keates will leave Wrexham before tomorrow's match at Woking.
His departure will come as a major blow to the Reds after the 39-year-old had steered them to a serious promotion push this season.
Wrexham are in fourth place in the National League table with nine games remaining.
Waiting for official announcement but seems that Dean Keates is leaving @Wrexham_AFC to take over as Walsall manager. Remains to be seen who will be in charge of Reds at Woking tomorrow and - vitally - try and keep the club on course for promotion
