POLICE have just tweeted that the road in Newtown has now been cleared.
Officers from Dyfed-Powys Police were at the scene of a two vehicle Road Traffic Collision on the A489, Llanidloes Road,
They said that the crash by the junction to Lôn Cerddyn had partially blocked the road
A motorist told the County Times: "Newtown is hell today, it's gridlocked, took me half an hour to get out of town."
Before the blockage had been cleared Police were warning motorists to expect delays in the area.
