Police in Wem are appealing for information after thieves targeted a cash box at the public toilets.
The raid of the building in High Street happened overnight between Wednesday, February 21 and Thursday, February 22.
A spokesperson for North Shropshire Police said: “Similar raids have been reported recently in Bridgnorth.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact police by calling 101 or alternatively you can give information via the anonymous Crimestoppers charity number on 0800 555 111.

Meanwhile, police in Wem are also investigating after a vehicle was targeted by thieves overnight between Friday, February 23 and Saturday, February 24.
The incident happened in Cordwell Park in Wem, however police were unsure of what had been stolen at this time of going to press.
