The organisers of the 1940s Weekend are appealing for owners of vintage and military vehicles pre 1950 to come forward and exhibit them as part of the weekend to be held from September 29 to October 1 inclusive.

Vehicles can be cars, motorbikes, cycles, commercials and of particular need tractors and other implements to be part of an agricultural display paying tribute to the agricultural industry which continues to be a big part of the town and the land girls who worked the land in the 1940s.

Modellers of WW2 aircraft or other military vehicles are welcomed to come along and show off the results of their hobby.

Local people are invited to set up a display of artefacts paying tribute to a family member who served in either Armed Forces, Home Guard or Land Army.

Tickets for the tea dance, variety show, Blitz Ball and other events are now on sale and can be obtained from Theatre Hafren Box Office.

The weekend promises three whole days of non stop nostalgia and will feature exhibitions, displays, swing and singalong entertainers, re-enactors, window displays, parades and much more.
