MORE than 200 children from the Llanidloes area took part in a Mini Commonwealth Games.
Pupils from Llanidloes Primary School, Caersws Primary School and Ysgol Dyffryn Trannon in Trefeglwys descended on Llanidloes Cricket Club’s Recreation Ground for the event.
Pupils from reception age to Year 3 took part in a wide range of sports and activities with cheerleading a favourite on the day.
Llanidloes community sport development officer Katie Hamer said: “With the Queen’s baton relay a couple of months away it was great getting local clubs and partners involved who made a very successful day.
“A big thanks to Llanidloes Cricket Club for hosting the event and to all the volunteers that were involved.”
