HEIDI Davies will represent Great Britain in the World Mountain Running Championships in Italy next month.
The Llandrindod Wells long distance star is one of just two Welsh athletes in the squad of 14 which will take on the best in the world on the slopes of Premana.
Davies will be competing in her third World Mountain Running Championship having competed in Bulgaria in 2016 and in Italy in 2014, securing top 20 finishes in the junior girls category.
The call-up is further recognition of Davies’ rising star having also earned a call up to the British squad for the European Mountain Running Championship in Slovenia next weekend.
