Three people were taken to hospital after a three-vehicle smash on bank holiday Monday.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to the accident, which saw the Llangurig to Rhayader road closed for two-and-a-half hours.
A Dyfed-Powys Police spokesperson said: “Police attended a three vehicle road traffic collision which occurred at approximately 5.15pm on Monday, May 29, on the A470 Llangurig to Rhayader Road.
“The three vehicles involved in the collision were a black Mercedes, a silver Vauxhall Astra and a silver Ford Ka. The road was fully re-opened at 7.45pm.”
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson added: “We sent three emergency ambulances to the scene, and three patients – one female and two male – were taken to Bronglais General Hospital.”
Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact police on 101.
