Swalec Div One (WC)
Cwmllynfell 5
Builth Wells 30
VICTORY at basement side Cwmllynfell failed to spare Builth Wells who joined their hosts in being relegated from division one west central of the Swalec League.
The Bulls faint hopes of survival ended with Kenfig Hill beating Ystalyfera 28-20 to leave Builth facing life back in the second division next season.
Builth started the contest strongly and it was no more than the Mid Wales side deserved when Ashley Mills crashed over following a phase of pressure with Seb Barrett converting.
The Bulls tightened their grip on the game through a penalty try before scrum-half Ben Pugh crossed for a try and Seb Barrett went over to add a bonus point try.
Veteran Rob Lloyd kicked the remainder of the Bulls points to settle a one sided contest but Builth celebrations were tempered by news from elsewhere.
Coach Nick Howells said: “We played well and deserved the win but unfortunately things have not gone for us this season.
“This is an unforgiving league as everyone knows but we will look to rebuild in the second division and hopefully the club will return sooner rather than later.”
BUILTH: Parry, R Jones, Jarman, Morris, L Evans, G Jones, Samuel, Mills, Pugh, Lloyd, Morgan, Boore, G Lewis, J Barrett, S Barrett. Reps – T Davies, Hutchinson, Baggett, D Davies, E Davies
