Swalec One West Central
Seven Sisters 17
Builth Wells 9
BUILTH Wells failed to build on a first-half lead as Seven Sisters hammered another nail in their relegation coffin.
The Bulls headed south knowing victory essential to keep alive fast fading hopes of survival and forged ahead early on through a brace of Seb Barrett penalties.
Builth continued to dominate possession and territory but could not penetrate the hosts defence and were punished when Sisters reduced the arrears through Kyle Evans’ unconverted try.
However the Bulls established a slender advantage during the early stages of the second-half with Rob Lloyd’s drop goal offering respite.
Sisters would dominate the remainder of the game as Builth’s challenge faded with tries from Scott Davies and Jason French, and one conversion from Jason Davies, completing the hosts fightback.
Coach Nick Howells said: “I was happy with the first-half display but once again we did not make the most of our possession and we were punished.
“It’s where we are the moment and we cannot do anything but keep working hard and hopefully somehow survive.
“Though it will be very difficult now and need to win our remaining games to have a chance.”
BUILTH: Parry, A Jones, Jarman, L Evans, Morris, Samuel, Pugh, Brown, Mills, Lloyd, Baggett, Boore, G Lewis, R Lewis, Barrett. Reps: Hutchinson, B Davies, Griffiths
