Swalec Division Three

RHAYADER caused one of the shocks of the Swalec Division Three East D season with a 28-19 win over third placed Hollybush.

The Rams have struggled this season but have found form in recent weeks while being boosted by the signing of South African player Eugene Sadie from Builth Wells.

Rhayader claimed victory with two tries from Gavin Rees and one each from Sadie and Dillon Leary who also kicked four conversions.

Meanwhile the club has officially welcomed 24 year old Springbok, Sadie to Radnorshire while he works at PAR Homes.

Rhayader vice-chairman, Sean Cosgrove said: “It’s great to have Eugene helping us out after a disappointing start to the season but Saturday’s result has given the whole team a confidence boost and we hope we can get a few more wins under our belts in the remaining weeks of the season.”
