Swalec Division Threes
RHAYADER celebrated a much needed 26-0 win at home to Cwmcarn in division three east D of the Swalec League.
The Radnorshire side’s bonus point win was secured courtesy of tries from Alex Clarke, Jamie Naylor, Ryan Lewis-Davies and Andrew Lewis with Clarke also kicking three conversions.
Meanwhile Llandrindod Wells strolled to a 27-5 win at Cardiff based CIAC in division three east central C.
The Spamen dominated the scrum and it was no surprise when they earned a penalty, dispatched by fly-half Jonathan Duggan, to open the scoring.
Duggan also converted the Spamen’s opening try after Aled Price went over following a driving maul.
The Butetown hosts reduced the arrears with a try before Llandrindod hit back with No8 Geraint Evans crossing for a pushover try before the interval.
Llandrindod maintained their superiority in the second-half with a brace of tries from wing Jac Holden, one converted by Duggan, to complete a fine afternoon in the capital.
