A MAN has admitted harassing a women for more than a month online.

At Welshpool Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday Scott Williams, 23, of Cae Crwn, Machynlleth, pleaded guilty to harassing Chloe Newcombe and further charges of criminal damage, cannabis possession and using threatening and abusive words or behaviour.

Prosecutor Helen Tench told the court the offences had a domestic related background and the defendant had been subject to a harassment protection order from September 17.

However he continued to contact Miss Newcombe via Facebook, emails and telephone calls until October 3, when she attended his address with PC Jones and PCSO Monk.

Williams threatened to hurt himself if they entered, slammed a door in the officers’ faces and attempted to throw a metal object through the door, which they discovered to be a heavy duty spanner.

A search was carried out and this was when a small amount of cannabis was found.

A pre-sentence report was ordered, and Williams was given conditional bail to appear before magistrates for sentence on November 8.
