CHRIS Davies made it a Conservative one two in Powys, winning the Radnorshire seat by over 5,000 votes. It was predicted to be a tight contest, but it was anything but, as Mr Davies picked up 5,102 more votes than former Lib Dem MP Roger Williams, as he had 16,453, and Mr Williams had 11,351. And the new MP for the constiuency was amazed and humbled to have picked up the victory. He said: "I am just amazed. To get a majority of around 5,000 from the it being over 3,000 the other way last time is unbelievable. "It is a fabulous feeling to have, and it hasn't really sunk in yet, but I know I have to deliver now over the next five years." The new MP paid tribute to the departing Mr Williams, but believes his party let him down in places. He said: "I am very fond of Roger he was a great local MP, a very nice man and I respect him fully. "His party has let him down in places, and it was time for a change." Mr Williams also offered kind words to the new MP, and labelled his time in office on of the proudest of his life. He said: "I want to thank all my family for their support of the 14 years. "Brecon and Radnorshire are a resilient constituency and it has been a great honour to represent them "Apart from my family life, it has been the proudest time of my life, and I just want to congratulate Chris and wish him all the very best."   In the results Labour's Matthew Dorrance came third with 5,904, followed by UKIP's Darran Thomas 3,338, Plaid Cymru's Freddy Greaves 1,767 and Chris Carmichael, Green Party, 1,261.
