A HOST of young talent was on show from across North Powys at Theatr Hafren for ‘Monty’s Got Talent.’

The competition is now in its sixth year and had members of five youth clubs taking part.

Prior to the event auditions were held in Llanidloes, Machynlleth, Llanfair Caereinion, Newtown, Welshpool and Llanfyllin, to chose two entrants for the Live Performance and Visual Art categories.

On the night the judges were Paul Rowe, Harry Evans, Amber Deacon and Dai Roberts, who had a hard time deciding between the fantastic acts which incorporated a range of singers, dancers and visual arts entries.

The judges commented on the high quality of work and praised the young people for their hard work.

Llanfair Youth Club won the visual arts category with their amazing First World War collage and Katie Stallard won the live performance category for her top acoustic version of a song she had written.
