THE line-up for the 2012 Young People’s Village at Builth Wells has been announced by organisers, Wales YFC.
 

The festival, which celebrated its 21st year last year in its current location and saw record numbers of people attending, will once again see the development of the entertainment on offer in the big top, to entertain more than 15,000 partygoers during the Royal Welsh Show week (July 22-26).
 

Dylan Jones, Wales YFC chairman, said: “Once again as an organisation we have developed the facilities and entertainment available at the Young People’s Village.”
Kicking off the event on the Sunday, July 22 will be Welsh favourite BBC Radio 1 and Radio Cymru DJ Huw Stephens along with Mathew Horne (BBC’s Gavin and Stacey), an accomplished DJ.
 

On Monday evening Beat a Maxx DJ will headline and returns to the event for the second year to mash up the biggest tunes along with clips from well known films and TV to create a mix of sound of video. Nick and Matty, two of the most popular actors from Skins, will present a DJ set during the evening along with Rhys and Eggsy from Goldie Lookin’ Chain.
 

Tuesday will see one of the most listened to and popular BBC Radio 1 DJ’s, Scott Mills, hitting the Big Top arena following a meet and greet the audience session with Pritchard v Danton, co-founders of MTV’s smash hit show Dirty Sanchez; and a set by local mid Wales band Hufen Ia Poeth and The Luminites, a unique five piece urban pop act with a sound that is based around beat boxing, acoustic guitars and vocal harmonies.
 

The week will finish off in style on the Wednesday night with BBC Radio 1 DJ Greg James returning to the village for the third year along to host an UV Paint Party with 4th Street Traffic, a band from the heart of the South Wales valleys.
Various individuals will play host to the evenings, Rhydian Bowen Phillips, Capital FM Matt Lissack and Ifan Evans.
 

The Young Peoples Village, which is situated less than a mile from the Royal Welsh Showground near the picturesque town of Builth Wells, is also home to an excellent camping and caravanning site with all the facilities that you should need.
