A man has sustained serious injuries following a road traffic collision on Anglesey this morning.

Shortly before 10am this morning (Friday, December 2) North Wales Police received a report by the Welsh Ambulance Service of an incident on the A4080 in Llanfaelog involving a motorcycle.

Emergency services attended the scene and the road was closed.

A spokesperson for North Wales Police said: "The motorcyclist has been taken by ambulance to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor with what is believed to be serious and life threatening injuries. Nobody else has been injured.

"Officers believe that two cars were in the vicinity at the time, and although not directly involved, the drivers or passengers may have witnessed the collision."

The road currently remains closed.

A welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called at about 9.50am to reports of a road traffic collision between a motorcycle and a truck in Llanfaelog.

"We sent an emergency ambulance to the scene and a man was taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd with serious injuries."
