FANS of the Man in Black should Walk the Line to Llandudno to see one of the UK’s top tribute acts.

The Johnny Cash Story starring Roger Dean and The Lazy Boys comes to Venue Cymru on Friday, June 29 for what promises to be a stirring celebration of the great man’s life and work.

Roger Dean has spent a lifetime in the entertainment business as a singer, actor and cruise director.

His link with Cash dates back to his teens, when he performed the legend’s songs on several BBC radio programmes.

Along with his band the Lazy Boys, he keeps audiences spellbound with his knowledge of the country music superstar.

The show includes classics such as Big River, Ring of Fire and his version of Nine Inch Nails’ Hurt, Dean describes Johnny’s rise from poverty stricken beginnings in rural Arkansas to world stardom.

Roger Dean and the Lazy Boys faithfully recreate a style that has influenced the likes of Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen and most country artists since he first hit big.

Fans will no doubt enjoy this musical trip down memory lane in a show that captures the essence of one of music’s true greats.
