LLANDRINDOD Wells will once again host one of the biggest dates in the British enduro calendar next week.

The annual Welsh Two Day Enduro which takes place over 140 miles, starting from Llandrindod Wells, has attracted over 600 riders from every corner of the country.

The 61st WSDE is a round of the British Enduro Sidecar Championship, Welsh Solo Championship, Welsh Sidecar Enduro Championship and British Enduro Twin Shock Championship.

The event is famous as the longest single lap time-card in Britain and attracts competitors from all over the world.
This year’s event starts at Llandrindod Wells Lake at 7am on Thursday, June 21 and will take in test stages at Crossgates and Llanyre, before heading to Beulah, Irfon Forest, Nant Y Stalwyn, Myherin, Pant Mawr, Cwmcynnydd and Wennallt Bank.
Esgairwy is sandwich by test stages at Abbey-cwm-hir and Crossgates before finishing day one.

Day two is just as gruelling, starting at 7am and completing the previous day’s course in reverse.
Looking to utilise their local knowledge in the championship class will be the Llandrindod Wells trio of Lee Edmondson, Ashley Wood and Gethin Price.
The expert (E3) class sees Llandrindod rider Matthew Wiley joined by Rhayader’s Christian Walton, while the expert (E2) class is dominated by local riders.
Rhayader will be represented by Jonathan Price, Marc Evans and George Wozencraft, with Adam Rees of Abbey-cwm-hir also in action. Shaun Buchan of Llandrindod and Knighton’s Marty Jones represent the area in the expert (E1) class.

Presteigne’s Simon Hamer competes in the clubman (E3) class, with Llandrindod duo Will Green and Martin Rowan joined by Rhayader’s Aled Price in the clubman (E2) class.

Aaron Martin of Llandrindod will carry the hopes of the region in the clubman (E1) class with Martin Jones also the only local representative in the over 40s class.
The over 50s sees Llandrindod pair Tom Knill and Malcolm Davies joined by Builth Wells rider James Bevan and Knighton’s David Brick.
As ever the sportsman class has the largest field with a host of Radnorshire riders in action.
The sidecar expert section sees Jonathan Williams/Neil James of Llandrindod compete with Gavin and Tracie Zembrzuski in the sidecar clubmen class.
