YOUNGSTERS across Wrexham and Flintshire got into the party spirit to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
Pupils at Brynteg School, near Wrexham, enjoyed a jubilee party in their school playground with lines of tables mirroring a traditional British street party.
In Acrefair, near Wrexham, children and adults at Towers Day Nursery dressed in special jubilee outfits for an afternoon party, while youngsters at The Oaktree playgroup in Nant Mawr Road, Buckley, had a special visitor when the ‘Queen’ popped in for the festivities.
It was a double celebration at Brambles Day Nursery in Summerhill, Wrexham, where cook Shirley Parry was also celebrating her retirement after 16 years.
