ENJOY a night of gimmick-free musical excellence as The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain comes to Llandudno.

The veterans of more than 9,000 performances will perform at Venue Cymru at 7.30pm on June 7.

Founded in 1985, the orchestra has played in many worldwide venues, including the Royal Festival Hall, Glastonbury Festival and Carnegie Hall.

A typical UOGB gig includes songs and instrumentals from varied musical genres.

Regulars include Kate Bush's Wuthering Heights reworked as a swinging jazz number, Tchaikovsky's Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy, Anarchy in the UK played in the style of Simon and Garfunkel, and the theme tune from Shaft.

Prepare for an evening of top class entertainment from an act that helped to bring the ukelele back to the mainstream.

Tickets are £17–£19.
To book, contact the Venue Cymru box office on 01492 872 000 or visit www.venuecymru.co.uk.
