Sergeant Gerry Boyle (Brendan Gleeson) is a small town cop with a confrontational personality, a subversive sense of humour, a dying mother, a fondness for prostitutes and absolutely no interest whatsoever in the international cocaine smuggling ring that has brought FBI agent Wendell Everett (Don Cheadle) to his door.
However, despite the fact that Boyle seems more interested in mocking and undermining Everett than in actively working to solve the case, Boyle finds that circumstances keep pulling him back into the thick of it.

Rhyl Folk Club celebrated its 48th anniversary last Friday, having enjoyed a long and distinguished existence, perhaps most famously, at the Bee and Station Hotel, where it welcomed the legendary Alex Campbell in the 60s.
The club has now moved to its new venue at Tynewydd Community Centre, where it continues to welcome new members every Friday

Wind back to the famous music, dance and songs of the 1920s in New York’s celebrated Cotton Club. Performances by Duke Ellington, Cab Calloway, Lena Horne and Fats Waller would have had the club swinging, and dancers would light up the stage with their fabulous routines. This performance evokes the excitement of those times, with exuberant jazz music and toe tapping routines.
Ensemble Cymru Present Voice of Harlequin, described as a ‘spectacular weekend of music around the UK to set the scene and create excitement in the lead up to the London 2012 Festival, the finale of the Cultural Olympiad”.
The evening will include music specially commissioned from composere Gareth Glyn for 16 piece ensemble. There will also be the vibrancy and colour of music for wind and strings by Dvorak, Dohnanyi and Grace Williams. 7.30pm.
